A collector's eye, two decades in.
After more than twenty years advising private art clients, I bring that same eye for craftsmanship, provenance, and enduring beauty to every piece I source.
Coconiko Collection grew from a lifelong appreciation for beautiful, well-crafted objects and more than two decades of working with private clients in the art world. Collecting exceptional handbags isn't so different from collecting art — it's about craftsmanship, provenance, enduring design, and pieces with a story to tell.
Each item is personally sourced and selected with an emphasis on authenticity, quality, and timeless appeal — whether an iconic vintage treasure, an exceptional preloved find, or a coveted new arrival.
If you're searching for a particular piece — or simply want a second opinion — I personally answer every inquiry and genuinely enjoy helping clients build collections they'll love for years.
People often ask where the name Coconiko comes from.
It was inspired by my two beloved Shih Tzus, Coco and Niko, who were constant companions through many chapters of my life. Though they are no longer with me physically, they remain very much a part of my world and the spirit behind this collection.
Naming the business after them felt like a way to carry their joy, loyalty, and quiet companionship forward every day.
Your bag deserves a second chance. And the right collector to carry it forward.
The most interesting luxury handbags are not always the newest. They are the ones that have already lived — the vintage Chanel whose leather has softened just so, the Hermès Kelly with corners that have settled into a perfect patina, the discontinued reference no boutique can replicate. Pre-loved is not a compromise. It is a second act, often a better one.
If you are considering parting with a piece, accepted consignments will be verified for authenticity and condition. Only bags that meet collector-grade standards earn a place in the collection — and the chance to begin their next chapter with the right owner.
Consign a bag →"A handbag is rarely about the bag. It is about who carried it—and the life they chose to live."
I came to this work through the gallery world — modern glass, European and Latin painting — first at my own space, GALLERIE Dorita! in Atlanta, Georgia, and long before that, through watching my mother. Years spent placing the right works into the right rooms taught me how an object earns its place — through provenance, proportion, and the patience to wait for the piece that matters.
Over time, I learned that handbags carry the stories of their wearers. On the vintage pieces, a patina or the way the leather softens at a particular fold is not a flaw — it is evidence of a life lived well. Newer pieces in the collection are held to a pristine standard. Coconiko Collection applies that same gallery discipline to bags that have already proven their worth.

A Métiers d'Art Dalmatian bucket bag, the Coco Beach denim tote, a navy Deauville, the Chanel 19 shopping tote and a lilac Lady Dior — the newest pieces to join the collection this August.
A June 2026 Wall Street Journal column reports vintage handbag searches up 131% year-over-year and resale outpacing the boutique — a cultural shift that mirrors everything Coconiko Collection was built on.
